Women are disproportionately affected by natural disasters. More than ever before women and children in Haiti need the support of Americans to help rebuild their lives after this terrible tragedy. While Women Thrive Worldwide does not conduct direct humanitarian assistance, we urge you to give to the following organizations to help survivors of the earthquake. In choosing where to donate, we highly encourage you to give to local, grassroots organizations, who know best how to help their communities but often cannot access international aid. We also urge you to select organizations with a long-term track record of in-country service and a commitment to long-term reconstruction.
