International Violence Against Women Act: Toolkit for Activists and Groups |
 | The International Violence Against Women Act (IVAWA), is the most comprehensive piece of legislation addressing violence against women and girls worldwide. If passed, it would for the first time comprehensively incorporate proven solutions into all U.S. foreign assistance programs - solutions such as promoting women's economic opportunity, addressing violence against girls in school, working to change public attitudes, and making ending violence against women a diplomatic priority for the U.S. (learn more about the IVAWA at www.WomenThrive.org/ivawainfo).
| Please take action today to make the IVAWA a reality for the millions of women it would help empower. The following resources are tools for organizations and individual activists to get involved: Are you an activist or organization interested in becoming more involved? If so, please contact Mckenzie Lock at mlock AT womenthrive DOT org. |
